I had two riles built and wanted to know if I paid a smith to build two custom rifles and everything came out fine. But when I pulled the stock off this was his bed work...........

but if he did a really bad job the first time, I would rather someone else do it. I was looking at Randy's @ R&D precision DIY bedding and was upset to see mine the way it turned out. Thanks

Thanks guys but I pm'd a local member and I have no other choice but to have it redone. Sucks to pay twice but what can you do, you get what you paid for.

Why not do it yourself? Find Roscoe's thread, get some Devcon 10110 and some release agent and give it a shot. It couldn't be any worse than what you have now and you can always have it fixed if it doesn't turn out. You'll be out about $40 in materials and have enough left over to do about 3 more rifles.

I'm sorry, I can't tell; is the issue a matter of cosmetics, or of functionality?
Were it mine, hidden cosmetic issues are moot as opposed to functionality. If it shoots good, I tend not to get too wound up over hidden cosmetics.

I think you done a fair and acceptable job, the proof is if it shoots

FWIW it looks to me like he just hogged the stock out and never bedded it at all. Or if he did, he failed to go back for the 2nd bedding after roughing up the 1st.
