i have a new england firearms 17hmr that i really like, but the trigger is stupid heavy. i estimate it at around 8lb pull and would like to see 3-4lbs. is there something i can do to rework the trigger myself to lighten the pull? im pretty good at tinkering with stuff and can strip any of my guns down piece for piece so im not worried about getting into a project like that. im wondering if anyone has done a trigger job and has some guidelines or helpful info on it. a replacement trigger would be great, i put an aftermarket trigger in my 77/17 and love it.
thanks, i look forward to your replies

Re: NEF 17hmr trigger

I would look for a aftermarket trigger for that rifle. If that does not exist take it to a good gunsmith, if your not a hundred percent sure with how to adjust that trigger it should probably not be tried.

Re: NEF 17hmr trigger

hey guys, thanks for all the help. this thing shoots really good @ a hundred yards, even with a crappy scope and trigger, but i know it can do better. i think improving it in these areas will help me with that.
