I did a detachable mag conversion on this Rem700 BDL for a 6.5CM project.
Two suggestions if you are attempting this:
1) Get metal bottom metal conversion, not polymer. I used a PTG unit that was on sale for $99. (PTG often has sales on these.)
2) Get bottom metal that takes standard AICS mags (the PTG does). This will give you a wider selection of mags than Remington only.
