Any one have good load sheet they can send me?

Have shot 5 rounds of 180 fusion through it so far guy bought it for son on sale 250 at gander mnt. To big for son?? That's what wife said lol son was 12 she said he was 90 lbs wet it a 770 I know they don't have good track record but going to use as hunting beat up gun so not worried as long as barrel don't split like on you tube

300 mag likes mag primers for sure, but .30 caliber is .30 caliber in this case.

Might try heavier bullets than you are used to using since you have all the extra powder in there.

Might not be a bad idea to get it checked by a smith if you are unsure of it and dont know the history.

Try 178 grain hornady amax. Start with 67 grains of imr4350. Wlrm primer and some good brass. As a general rule 1:10's love the 178. Make sure you seat to lands.

Re: New 300 win mag reloading question

as for the part about the son, I've been using my 300 since i was around 16, but I was 185 lbs. I would highly recommend a brake. My cousin (14 yrs old) shot it a couple months ago and it hurt him pretty bad.

Re: New 300 win mag reloading question

The 770s seem to be a great gun for just a cheap gun that can kill a deer, etc. Friend of mine bought one in .243 for his young daughter to be able to hunt with a few days a year and got out for two hundred and something with a scope that was more than serviceable for her. They don't on the other hand seem like the way to set up a quality rig. But for $175, if it holds together that's a great steal.

Maybe I missed it, but nobody hit on the most important topice in his post. This man's wife bought him a rifle for no special reason and without his mention...I'm married, but please let the single guys on here know if she has a sister. And don't tell us she brings you beer during the football games or I'm gunna be pissed.
