Picked this up today Accuracy International AE MkIII FDE .308 "British Bulldog"
0 moa Murphy picatinny rail
18.5 Bartlein barrel 1:10 twist with SAS break

This thing handles great and I love the 18.5 Bartlein barrel with the SAS break.
The Spuhr mount is one of the greatest scope mounts I have ever used.
Thanks to Randy and the folks at Mile High who helped me, first class all the way.

CONGRATS, I've been looking down this road for a long time, really I think it would only take me walking into Mile High without the wife present, but good luck leaving her in Wyoming on the day of the Costco, Target, Home Depot run.

How do you like the 18.5" barrel? I am going to get a AIAE next tax return and was wanting a short barrel. I was looking at a 20" but want to keep all options open. Does anyone know between what ranges the 18.5" would work best between? Great looking rifle you have there. Sorry I dont mean to hijack your thread, yours look exactly like what I am wanting.

I love the 18.5 barrel. I was going to do a 20" but wanted something a little shorter and I knew I would not lose very much velocity. I like the little extra portability in the short barrel so this thing is everything I could want in a rifle. I am still VERY impressed with the Spuhr mount and think it is well worth the money. The features built into the Spuhr mount are amazing.

How do you like the SAS break im thinking about getting one on my AI im about to order.

I am wanting one like yours, but I am wanting to see if Mark can do a ATACS FG pattarn on it (after I seen the ATACS I seen he did on a FN). I am wanting the Portability of a short barrel with the folder. I think that would be a great rifle.

congrats. nice stick. i have been reading many AI themed threads lately as i hope to be into one by the end of the year (maybe by the end of the month?). trying to decide new AE vs. used AW. i know there is no wrong choice. again, congrats- now get out there and shoot it.

I shot one and all I can say is.... wow. I was shooting with some bulk ammo(I don't remember, but all I know is it was in one of those one boxes with *7.62x51 on it) and I shot the first round, and missed its 150 yards on a 2.5in target popper. I thought the rifle was off but I shot 8 more rounds and I hit all of them in the same spot. I was amazed for cheap ammo

AI's definitely leave no room for excuses.
