I just received a package today containing my new Atlas Bipod. At first, I thought they seemed overpriced and figured my Harris would work just fine, but curiosity got the better of me, and I had to try one out. I'm glad I did! Comparing the Atlas to a Harris is like comparing a stock Rem 700 to a GAP rifle. They both do the trick, but there is something to be said for an ultra precise piece of equipment. I just wish I would have believed the hype and gotten one sooner!

Re: New Atlas Bipod

The Atlas is definitely the nuts; I got 2 of them. Did yours come with Kasey's fix for the pan/cant loosening up? I got mine before sobrbiker wrote about it, but it doesn't bother me at all. It was a big upgrade from the Harris for me.

Whats this "fix" you speak of?

But I thought I was going to have buyer's remorse, but the ability to Adjust each individual leg's angle is priceless.

My only real issue was the extra movement when supposedly locked in. Is that what you guys mean by kasey's fix?
(I'll tighten the bipod down when I'm in a good position, but it'll still move when i go to preload it?)
