Just picked the sniper rifle up. The AR is a DPMS upper with an M&P15 lower and Burris Fullfield scope.

The sniper rifle is a Remington 700 5-R Mil-Spec chambered in .308. I just put the Leupold Mark IV 4.5-14 scope with a Badger Ordnance 20 MOA rail and Warne scope rings.

This was my first camo job on any rifle, so comments and suggestions are much appreciated!

Re: New babies, new paint job

Did you just rattle can them or Duracoat, cerakote, etc etc??? Other than that the camo looks good, but how does in blend in with your AO? The pattern is subtle, with no real distinct lines so it should work out pretty good. Would work pretty decent in South East WY. Nice Job!

Re: New babies, new paint job

I went ahead and just rattle canned them. I would have liked to have gone the route of Cerakote but I like to be able to change tinting with my environment.

I'm planning on running one of them on coyote (.308 might see some action in deer season

). I'd love to get those running out in WY for some long range work! Our terrain is primarily fields and ag land. I may have to lighten up the .223 as it's a bit more of a Missouri forest gun (where I'm originally from).

Thanks for the input!

Wild_Bill:

I did some finer work on the cocking piece and the scope rings to get that eyesore gone. She looks like a beaut! I'll post another to this for the final product.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions about the bolt? It's a jeweled bolt but I'm hesitant to go with too much paint to keep it from reflecting. Anyone have the same problem? What would you guys suggest?
