Maggie’s New Barrel Break In

At the range yesterday I was asked by a number of people if I had broken my new barrel in properly/what break-in proceedure I used which made me realize Damn Damn Damn I didn't do anything besides shoot it, I blame certain people for failing to provide a manual...I'm sure it's just crappy customer service

.

Apparently from what I am told it is a certifiable miracle that it shoots as well as it does or at all for that matter. Come to think of it I haven't broken in any of the AIs "properly" that they all shoot extremely well after all this time and what I am sure are slack cleaning habits must surely make me some sort of candidate for cannonization. If anyone wants their rifle blessed, let me know

Wow! You should buy a lottery ticket or something! All those AI's that just happened to still shoot straight, despite your BEST efforts to warp the barrels by not breaking them in...You must have a golden horse shoe in your rear!

I always like the "how did you break it in" conversations at ranges. "Umm...I shot the gun..." just never seems to please these guys!

what convinced me that barrell break in routines are nonsense is when i see how the AIAW's at work are broken in .... they are just shot from the first day as if its any other day,whatever amount of rounds are fired that day are fired and it gets a patch through before going back into stores.and guess what .. they shoot lights out.
