Ordered a new Criterion barrel for my Savage 10 FP, 308, 24 inch 1- 10 twist, varmint contour, recessed muzzle, threaded for a brake. I been reading here and you guys forced me to attempt the barrel change myself. Ordered it from Jim Briggs at Northland Shooting Supply, ordered the precision nut and the machined shank . Jim seems like a nice guy to deal with, I was torn between the bull and varmint contour but went with the varmint due to weight, if I want a bull I will do it when I swap over my Rem 700 barrel. I hope this works out okay.
