Gunsmithing new barrel

its getting to be about that time in every rifles life where the barrel of me savage 10fp in 308 is getting tired. im an going to be sending it off to sharpshootersupply for a new barrel, time and true the action, and trigger. does anyone out there know the life expectency of a douglas barrel?

In 308 their not any differant than any other custom tube , if your sending it to Kevin for rebarrel I'd have him use the barrel of his choice , he has one he likes alot (Benchmark) and they work realy well and he generaly has a good price on them if your looking for a cheaper rout , BUT if your gonna pony up the extra money for a custom tube you might as well get one of the more respected names like Kreiger or Bartlein. Brux is making a big name for themselves and their lead time is only a few weeks.
