I want to put a new bolt handle, specifically a KMW, onto a stainless A-bolt. The only problem is browning's stainless isnt the same stainless as the knob. What company can either polish the bolt handle to match the knob or use some sort of coating to make the knob match?
here is the knob for reference. KMB knob

Re: New browning bolt knob

Bead blasting that knob should dull it down to match the Browning finish better. I think the knob would actually come out duller looking though.

I have a stainless A-bolt too and the finish almost looks like silver paint to me.

Just curious why you want to put the big knob on it? With the 60 degree throw on the bolt it never gets close to the scope and I've never hand any trouble grabbing onto mine, unlike the factory Remington handle.

its always so cold so i mainly shoot with gloves so i just wold like a bigger area to grab and a little texture as well for those wet snowy rocky mountain environments.

who does bead blasting?

Re: New browning bolt knob

I think most smiths would have a blast cabinet but it really seems like a waste to send a knob somewhere just for a few seconds to blast it.

Call around to machine shops, auto repair, welding, etc. Maybe you can find someone local that you can run by and have them blast it, should only take a sec.
