My wife really hooked it up this year for my birthday this last weekend. She picked me up the 8x32 1 mile LRF and the 8-40x tactical spotter for me. I'm not sure what I did to be so lucky!

Anyways so far playing with the LRF today I am quite pleased with it so far. The bino comes with butler creek flip ups for the front objectives which I found to be a very nice surprise. The build quality on them is very nice. It was very sunny today so I set the brightness to the highest mode on setting 4. Then I configured it for my .308 win which is usually what I hunt with and set it to MILs (I think that is a really neat feature since most binos I have seen only do MOA or inches.) Then I started ranging targets, I was able to pickup a neighbors house at 1833 was my furthest I could get. Ranging trees up on on the hill across the road and I was easily able to range at ~ 1000 - 1300yds. I was able to compare the glass to my Kowa BD-42s which I regard to be fairly decent binos (not the best but pretty solid) and these bushnells are easily as good if not better than my Kowas. For a dual purpose LRF and binos I don't think you will be lacking on the optical clarity.

The spotter is very nice as well, the build quality and feel of it overall is superb. I really like the H32 reticle as its easily usable at all magnification ranges. Optically it looks quite good, very similar to the Leupold Mark 4s I have seen. I haven't had much of a chance to to really play with the spotter since I do not have a tripod to mount it on. I will have to report back on this one after giving it a better once over.

Overall I am impressed by Bushnell stepping up their game, their products seem to be really improving which is nice to see so new somewhat lower cost options on the market.
