Anyone have any feedback on Hart rifle barrel? You don't hear about them much on this forum. I actually have one on a hunting rifle and like it but I know these types of rifles are a different ballgame.

Also what can a DST IMPROVED Contour be compared to in terms of contour/weight?

    Thank you!

I have a Hart 6mm in the DST Improved contour, its close to an MTU but a bit heavier at the end. Really well balanced in my foundation. I don’t have many rounds down it to give good feedback on longevity or accuracy potential, but I have two other barrels from DST that are super accurate. Little 22BR shooting in the .2s and a 6.5 creedmoor that shoots 1/2 moa (and sometimes well below that) with factory Berger ammo. They are stand up guys, if you have issues I’m positive they would take care of you.

We build on them all. You can’t go wrong with a Hart. They are hammers. The DST MTU Improved is 1.250 at the shank for 7 inches then it tapers to .950 at 26 inches.
    Thank you!

Finally got around to doing some load development on this DST Improved Hart barrel for the Altus match. 6x47. 5 shot groups @ 100. POI shift was me messing with the scope. Mirage and wind made things extra difficult to shoot tiny groups, but it still made bug holes. I may try it out again tomorrow with my match load and see if I can get some in the .1s. For the money I don’t think there is a production class barrel with this level of accuracy potential.
