So in 4 more weeks we'll be welcoming a new member into our family. Moms neighbor German Sheppard's had pups and let us have this little guy.

Re: new family member

Thanks Shank, we won't really know how lazy will be until we bring the pup home. Yesterday when lazy met the pup, he was cool just curious.

Got to love the rednose..Nice dog...Children grow up in the blink of an eye. Spoil them every chance you get and take more pictures than you ever thought of.

Re: new family member

I am a big fan of the Shepherd L21! We often have my sister in law's pit bull (Pumpkin), staying with us and she was great, in addition to our GSD (Elke), when our new spazz Doberman(Maxine), joined the family last year! Both Elke and Pumpkin were infinitely patient with Maxine and her annoying, youthful, harassment. And Maxine is all over them, all the time.

Now that Maxi is 14 months old, Elke (age 4) is now far more "Instructive" on the way things are going to be from here on out.

A well adjusted, mature dog will always be good with puppies and kids. Just have to watch out for normal klutzy stuff as a big dog takes up more space than little dogs and accidental knock downs are the higher probability than anything else.

Good looking pup.

I wonder how dog's cope with the heat down there. My german shepherd is fine, but he even starts to cook in the summer time in WA (Summer is basically a lie, 90*s for 5 days is considered "summer")
