Photos New Features - Windrunner

Here is a shot of one of the new receivers coming off the Nemesis Arms line.

This one has the following new features and options:

1 - 6061 Extruder Lowers - Not Cast, its Billet and machined.

2 - New enlarged Trigger hole, approx 20% larger.

3 - New design has a milled guide to quickly find the safety by moving finger up/forward and then back.

4 - Larger Bolt Handle option

5 - 316 - L Stainless bolt tube (shown uncoated)

Adjustable cheek, front thread cap, Rear compartment cap, extended Bipod pin, etc., etc.

I should have pics of the next 50 rifles being finished in the next few weeks. As these are mostly being delivered with the new backpack, it should be one heck of a photo!

No, whereas the Nemesis .50bmg is distributed by the same firm that distributes the .408 Windrunner (produced by EDM ARMS), that being THOR, the Nemesis 50 bmg is not made by Nemesis Arms.

The Nemesis Windrunner, shown above, is Bill Ritchies original design, greatly enhanced and currently manufactured by Nemesis Arms in Calimesa, CA. Bill sold the rights to his good friend, David Ives, to produce the short action Windrunner. This was done to prepare for the much higher production volumes, it needed and has a new facility to produce the Nemesis Windrunners you see above.

The Cheytac bipod is a fine bipod for the .408, with its above axis suspended centering. But, it does have one major issue on the .408 and that issue becomes much more aggravated in the SA Nemesis. The issue is speed of assembly and disassembly of the barrel assembly. Not a major issue on the .408 (35+ pounds), but 30 second assembly and disassembly on the Nemesis (10 pounds) is lost with the Cheytac bipod's requirement to lock in the handle. Also, the Nemesis is much, much lighter and, with the extended bipod pin, the full tube and handle support is not required. There is another issue, a good deal of what drove the design of the Nemesis is the ability to pack away into a tiny briefcase. The broad tube/handle of the Cheytac bipod system is just too ungainly for this application.

Can one mount a modified Cheytac handle/tube/bipod on a Nemesis? Yes, will we see that coming out of the factory for the SA? So far, there has been no request. I think it is unlikely.

Triggerfifty is doing them for the M96 also someone else on here doing them also as part of the barrel nut. Just do a search. Have been thinking of doing it for mine but the economy the way it is I will have to put that off for a while. Should not be a big deal to downsize the Windrunner M96 cheytac style for the mini Wini

Important folks, the large M96/Cheytac systems will not work with the Nemesis Windrunner. Nemesis is the exact same system but made smaller. In other words:

1. Can it be done? Yes.

2. How? One would have to tap the barrel nut and select a tube of the right diameter. Then mill out a new handle to the smaller scale as well. Add the bipod, pins, etc.

Sorry if I implied that the same parts would be able to be swapped RT51. I was aware of the dimensional differences and maybe should have stated it more clearly.
