Photos New finish on Kimber Tactical Custom II

KimProII is very dissapointing! Finish was coming off all over the place on the frame. I called KG to match a color and he said Kimber used to use KG for their Kimpro finish but switched to a cheaper company, I can see that!

I was going to match the gray color that was on the frame previously, but changed my mind last minute to Flat Dark Earth, love it

It is KG Gunkote 2400

That turned out real nice, gotta love FDE. Was the color used called something special or just called flat dark earth, the reason I'm asking is I have a few things coated in FDE and they are all a little bit different.

KG calls it Flat Dark Earth.

I cant stop coating everything I own with KG dark earth. Sprayed my Benchmade mini barrage with KG Stock Kote tonight.

That has turned out well. I'm not too fond of Kimber's finish either.

How durable is the finish? Will it stand up to holster wear?

The KG is extremely durable. Scratch and chemical resistant as hell. Its come in and out of a leather holster quite a few times now and not a touch of wear.
