Hello! I started researching information on long range shooting and always ended up on this site so I decided to join! The amount of information on about every subject and angle of shooting is great. I’m still learning something new everyday just by scrolling through different forums. Glad to be apart of it!

Trail days, Damascus? Oh and I don’t hike I just fish in east Tn. Welcome to the forum

There are WAY too many people that do Trail Days....I prefer to go hike and not see another human for a few days...but I'm weird I guess. I have seen a lot more people on the trails lately in E. TN and W. NC....about time people get out of the house and enjoy nature.

There’s definitely some good hiking around here. I lived in South Central Ky for about 10 years. Love KY. Been wanting to explore the Red River Gorge.

The Gorge is pretty nice....for S. KY...I prefer the Northern end of the Big South Fork Recreation Area in Daniel Boone National Forest....I go to Stearns/Pine Knot/Struck area often as well.

That’s real close to where I lived. I was in Somerset area.

Then you can probably name these two locations...a little ways apart...

Overlook near Stearns:

I love me some S. KY....too bad they closed down Rockcastle Shooting Center though :(*

Cumberland Falls, love that place in the spring. I never went to Rockcastle except passing through. I’ve been looking into the range in Oak Ridge Tn, it’s suppose to go out to 1000 yards.
