New from KY

Hello all, Finally found my way here. as someone else said here, it's tough to find a good place to shoot long range here. our local club has finally started holding PRS matches, out to about 750 yards so I built me a frankenrifle to give it a shot. Savage model 10 with a 26 inch Criterion barrel in 6.5 creedmoor in a MDT chassis and Burris XTR scope still in the process of load workup but it's 1/2 MOA at this point with less than 40 rounds fired. Should be able to tighten that up a bit with more load development.

looking forward to doing some learning here, been shooting a long time, but only really long range shooting I've done was with a Ma deuce...

Shooting at the Northeastern Kentucky fish and game association ranges in Ashland. Really just now taking off here, we are sharing range space with the BPCRA, they have graciously allowed us to utilize their range.

Sounds like a road trip will be in my immediate future!

I am in the Louisville KY area, short of the occasional matches at Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, the nearest long range matches for me are actually in Indiana.

They usually do 3-4 matches per year, Mammoth Sniper Challenge and 2 PRS matches put on by CORE

Red Brush Rifle Range
