I'm longtime shooter, for fun and work.

USPSA and 3 gun have been my passion. Shot the Garrand match at Camp Perry several times.

Tried high power, my eyes are getting too old for that.

Red dots and scopes are pretty much required for me.

Last year I sent an unremarkable .308 to Mark Gordon at Short Actions Customs. He sent it back as a 6.5 CM.

Sunday, I took it to the range and broke it in.

Monday, I ran a series of loads where the charge changed by .3 grains. I selected a load based on those results and loaded a couple boxes.

Yesterday, Capt Mark (different Mark) and I went to Young's Long Shot range. He showed me some math, read the wind and we started shooting. A couple of adjustments at 400, then started in on the 700 yard gongs.

Let's try 1000 says Capt Mark. We shot a couple sighters, made a few adjustments, then started hammering the gongs.

Took a couple shots at a steel gopher and hit that at 1K.

Then the rain came and ruined a great day at the range.

I look forward to learning more about long range shooting and my first PRS match.
