New GAP with 16.5 in barrel

Ok so I'm still fairly new to this but saw they have a new one just built sittin their, with a 16.5 inch barrel, .308. To me that seems really really short for that .308, but like I said, i'm new to alot of this, and I'm diggin this rifle right now....but being that short, what kind've reduction in numbers would I be looking at, ie. energy, velocity, accuracy out to 500?

that gun would be great out to 500, you'd be able to push that out to 800 probably before losing too much. frank has run a few 16.5" guns to great success. i'm having one built as we speak.

I wouldn't shoot it for F Class but it will shoot great. There's a thread from yesterday about velocity from a 18 and 26..on the next page

I had an 18" barrel that did just fine out to 500, never got to try it at longer ranges.
