Gentlemen:

Well I did it. I just purchased a Savage Model 10FLCP-K and a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 MOA-2 Reticle scope. The scope has a hugh bell on it so I'm looking for a rail and rings reccomendation. I was planning on a 20 MOA rail anyway but need some help with the rings because of the size of the bell.

All input will be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your new purchase. Suggest you look at this site first, do a little homework before you purchase and get the exact size you need.

From my research I think a 20MOA rail is good. I have used Nightforce rings in the past along with unimount and directmount from them - but have
also used badger and leupold rings and have had good luck with them all. Depending on the size you need you may even find some here on the Hide
forsale. (I should inventory mine since I know I bought the wrong ones a few times before I found that site)

I've got the same combo with a millett 20 moa rail and low burris xtreme tactical rings, there's plenty of clearance under the objective. More than I'd like actually. If you have a rail then low rings are plenty high enough for a 56mm scope.

I went with Ken Farrell 30 MOA steel base on my Savage 12LRP & TPS medium rings; same scope as you have (different reticle). Planning to eventually get some TPS low rings and try that. I have more than I would like between bell & barrell, and the barrell is huge on this 12LRP!
