Join contest SubscribeWe're down at the end of the peninsula in Fritz Creek. Been to Eilson several times. Cold up there about now!Welcome to the Hide! I spent four plus years at Eilson AFB.
This fishing is still great but they are putting more an more regs on us. Not like it used to be for sure!I’m an old FNG here too.
Loved it up there years ago for the fishing till it went gunny-bag recently. Brother was stationed at Ft. Richardson in early 90’s and catching was the norm.
Son in Coast Guard was stationed in Ketchikan a few years ago, he’ll be heading back in a few years when he retires.
I hear there are more regs coming down the pipe for the halibut charter guys. Haven't heard much on the commercial regs changes for 2020.I’m an old FNG here too.

Welcome to the Hide from Alabama

ThanksWelcome to the Hide from Nebraska!
I feel your pain...The day I flew into Ketchikan in June/2017, I went to get my license and the clerk told me that the salmon retention was 4 yesterday and cut it to “ONE” that morning.
Long story short, 4 days trolling for salmon yielded 1 legal King.
3 days of Halibut fishing yielded zero fish. Son and friend had been averaging 2 per trip, me thinks they were trying too hard to put me on my first Butt....
