So I have been reading through these forums for about a week now and figured it was time to get this done.
I've been in local LE for 8 years. No not in NYC, there are other parts of NY. Nice parts where trees grow.
I've been shooting pistol, shotgun and AR platforms since I got into law enforcement and am a tactics buff. A few months ago I was assigned to our regional SWAT team.
That being said I am new to anything that's past 100 yards with a RDS optic. A need opened on the team for a sniper element and I decided to go for it. I'm slotted for Sniper 1 in October.
Not having any real knowledge in the subject I turned to this forum for answers and have to say I have learned a ton already just hanging back and taking it all in.
You guys that do the real long range stuff amaze me and I cant wait to take on a new skill.
