Welcome from upstate SC. I shoot over at Elbert County Gun Club in Elberton GA. The rifle range goes out to 400 but last week I bumped into a couple members there that were going to check out Clinton House. 1,000 yards is a big draw. It might even drag me in.
I think you have to reserve time in two hour blocks and pay a range fee on top of the membership dues but I could be wrong. I do know you can pay the range fee and check it out before joining.
First one to check it out has to post a review.
I wouldn't consider Clinton House to be in the upstate though. More like central SC.

I've been a member there for a couple of years, let me know if you have any specific questions. Membership is $400 a year for 'VIP' which gets you access to the all the ranges at no additional costs, you do have to pay for your clays if you shoot the clay course. Time for the 1000 range is reserved in 2 hour blocks, the 100-300 yard is open, and almost never too busy to get a bench.
If anyone wants to come check it out, let me know. Maybe we can get a time together, I believe I can get non-members in for $25, but I will have to confirm that.

I'm about halfway through load development for my .338LM. I did run into a little hitch last session that I attribute to insufficient neck tension. I just ordered a couple smaller bushings and I'm watching my tracking number hoping they will be delivered today. Not being a neck turner (yet), I might still have to order custom mandrels, too.
Is .338LM welcome at Clinton House? Are there target backers for paper targets at all ranges or is it just plates beyond a certain distance?
I think .338LM is the max on the steel, but I will ask.
The 100-300 yard range has 3 IPSC targets at each of 100, 200 and 300. You are welcome to take your own target downrange, I usually take a paper target down to 100 and do dot drills.
The 1000 yard range was just updated, so I'm not sure of the target count. There are 3 shooting positions and probably 30 or so steel targets up to IPSC size starting at 300 and going to 1000.
I have a match this weekend, but Sat April 13 is looking pretty good for me, there are a couple of guys on the calendar but looks like we could have two slots at 1:00, if I am bringing some potential members can probably get 2 blocks from 1:00 to 5:00.

338 only on the one mile days, not on 1000 range targets. Limit is 300wm on the 1000.
I don't have anything else suitable for 1,000 and the .338LM sure isn't ready for 1,760. It isn't quite ready for 1,000 but I was looking forward to seeing how far I could hit with it.
