Evening, new guy signing up here. Just getting into bolt action guys have a MDT chassis on the way and a Bergara Barreled Action. Still trying to decide with what optic to go for, looking in the 600-1000 range. Was debating between Arken EP4, Athlon Midas Tac, or their Ares.

I've had a couple of Vortex and also love them. Eurooptic has a killer and I mean killer deal on the Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-2C MRAD PST-5258. https://www.eurooptic.com/Vortex-Viper-PST-5-25x50-EBR-2C-MRAD-PST-5258.aspx . I have one on the way now. Only $699 plus $10 freight. They do charge sales tax in most states though.

Welcome aboard from the last frontier! Instead of an Ares, I'd personally go for a Cronus. They're on the same level as Razor Gen 2's.

Welcome to the forum. I have an Athlon Ares etr on my Bergara and completely love it. No regrets.
There are so many good options, and I think you will be happy with any of these choices.
