New Guy ???: Rem 700 SPS Tactical Stock

Any chance this stock will work on a Remington SPS Tactical (.308)? I'm guessing no since it specifies the "Varmint Barrel Channel" which I believe is narrower than the heavy barrel of the SPS Tactical...but hey, it's on sale and I've heard good things about B&C stocks for budget minded folks like myself.

its actually pretty easy to open up a barrel channel on a stock. Get a wooden dowel rod that is a little bigger than your barrel, wrap sand paper around and open up the barrel channel. Easy as that

Sand paper wrapped around a wooden dowell
or socket of appropriate diameter, combined with
a lil elbow grease will open up the barrel channel.

my advice is to save up some more green and just get the mcmillan. your gonna end up with one anyway. this hobby of ours is more like a sickness.

nothing against b&c by any means. i bought the varmint/tactical fully adjustable when build my first rifle. still have it, still love it.

The SPS-T uses the Remington varmint profile. That stock should fit fine.
