Hi everyone. Not sure if this would be the correct location but the board rules said if you didn't know to put it in the Bear Pit.

I've been on M4carbine.net and people recommended this forum. I just started to get into bolt-action precision shooting I guess you would say.

I'm am here to learn.

I have a 700 SPS Tactical. It still has the original hogue floppy stock. I will copy my first time at the range with it this past weekend below.


Had it at the range. Left the harris on it but tossed on the cheap Bushnell 10x 3200 I had on a beater Marlin .270 for my kid brother to drag around. I also put a weaver 20moa rail/base on it.

Well the stock did exactly what everyone said it would do I think. Two rounds out of nowhere at 300 yards.

Handload with 168 Nosler HPBT.

Just a little cold.

I was at KC's gun club in North Lawrence at the 300 yard range.

Back to factory ammunition. 169gr SMK Federal Match.

Someone left their sticky down there so I covered up the holes and used it. Easier to see than the standard paper targets I have been using without a spotting scope.

Really slushy so I was shooting off a bench. I am not on forums a lot so if it isn't appropriate to post stuff like this let me know. I know it isn't the most exciting stuff but you have to start somewhere right?
