20" .308 #6 9.5 twist - 230$ Brownell
B&C 395$
Legacy sport DBM & 10 rd. Mag. - 46$
Bolt on bolt knob - 35$
Outer impact 20 moa rail -35$
Cheap 6x24x50 SFP Mil-dot until I'm done with my Argos BTR (on my .22 for a match saturday, then will swith the scopes).
And a bunch of 175, 185 FGMM, some 168s and some 147 GGG Lithuanian Ball, 180 winchester SP to play with.
Being OCD I followed Howa's break in directions for 10 rounds then got tired of it and shot some groups.
175s were MOA or better and they were still under the first 25 shots on the gun.
Have a match tomorrow anybody know what velocity the 175s get out of a 20" ball park?
Loving this freaking stock, very comfortable. Haven't bedded it yet but will after seeing how it shoots without.

My first center fire bolt gun and also first .308. Gonna go with a Howage barrel nut and move to 6.5 once I've had my fill of .308......or just might buy another 6.5.
My poor damn bank account...

Every Howa 308 barreled action I've seen is a 1-10" twist - where did you find a 1-9.5" & what was the item number?

Good looking setup - enjoy.
It said it was 9.5 on Brownells when I bought it , they could be wrong or they could be a one off deal or something I have no idea. I thought it was kind of odd too.b

Natural environment. Big change from my 18" rifle length AR recoil wise. Just gotta pull the trigger slow and take it haha. Not too bad though, Pachmeyer pad on B&C is nice and soft.

Should be less punishing prone compared to from the bench. Careful with eye relief though, it becomes less in prone and you don't want to find out the hard way that you don't have enough.

I shot both. Was concious of that but I get my chest/spine squared with the recoil and take it. Alot more concious of that than with my .223.

I didn't look or notice, did that barrel come threaded? If so, slap a brake on there ASAP. I recommend VG6, because in true Hide fashion I only recommend what I use.
