Hi everyone I am new here an new to shooting. I have a 308'savage fcp 10 k an need a good optic on a small budget 700$ I want to shoot out to 1000yards thanks for the help.

Immerse yourself in the first focal plane(FFP), mil/mil Koolaide.

Try to find a used Bushnell tactical or Vortex PST.

I got this one for my Rem 700 .308 and I like it. I got it for $650 on line, I had to shop around for the low price but if you wait one will come up. Here is the info: Bushnell Tactical 6-24x50 Rifle Scope FFP Illuminated ET6245F

It's not a NF but it does the job...

If your budget is $700, the Weaver tactical 3-15 EMDR is perfect:

Once you have determined what glass you want try keeping an eye on SWFA's sample list. The good deals don't last long but they do pop up occasionally.

I am new too and recently got a great deal on a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 FFP MOA. Keep looking and you can pick up some good deals. For the price, the Vortex has alot of great features.

I am thinking about a 6 24 50 vortex pst would that be good for a 1000 yards but i dont like the fact that there not made in the. US. Thanks for the help
