Just got a new stock for my Palma rifle. It is a coffee laminate and is sanded but no finish. Any suggestions as far as the best product(s) to stain and seal? Of course want it as weather-proof as possible. Thanks, AG

Re: New Laminate Stock...Any Finishing Tips?

Sand it down starting with 320 grith work you way to 600 grit wiping it down between each grit with a damp cloth to raise the grain back up and remove dust , then finish with automotive cleaer cloat from a HVLP spray gun.

Here is a laminated stock I finished with Poly-crylic , did the same saning procedure as above but alos saned with 600 grit between first 4 coats then 1000 for last 2 coats.
