1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Very suspect, indeed. I am accustomed to seeing a matte finish on the annealed areas when done properly. I prefer to see annealing evidence from the case mouth down to no more than 1/4" below the shoulder. I have gotten Lapua brass before that didn't have any visual signs of being annealed at all, and other lot numbers that look perfectly annealed. I hope their QC isn't slipping.
I should have said, that doesnt look like an annealing issue to me, my lapua has had it before and Im pretty sure its the foam, its just some surface tarnish of some sort or something. A tumble will clear it up but its no problem I dont think.

WHOA. You spent good money on those. I agree they don't look like any Lapua brass I have ever gotten. Why not let Lapua make the final determination. I think they should either give you a valid reason to believe they are good or replace them. They need to know that they are not living up the the premium they charge. By shipping you a suspect product they have now put doubt in your mind. That doubt could stop you from buying again. They loose big time.
People telling you to dispose of the brass (send to me for disposal) are ribbing you and gently saying not to stress about it. You can clearly see the annealing line through the discoloration. Brass tarnishes, it's just what it does.
I hope your kidding because I was.
tumble it clean and shoot it.
it’s perfectly good!
Unless you sent it to me for proper disposal, then yea,,,,,it’s junk!

I had some 260 brass last year with same markings. I called Lapua and guy said they have had issues with the foam. He was willing to send new bras to me. He told me to tumble them and they have turned out fine. He did send a free hat and tee shirt. BUT he was willing to replace the "damaged pieces".
