New LMT cqb mrp BROKE

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

Spoke to LMT -

That should not happen - send the whole BCG back and we'll get another one out to you.

Easy enough.

Seemed frustrated and fairly short - like this issue has been on-going. I can understand that. I'd be less than thrilled to have new BCG's coming back for repair as well.

so, off it goes

Pretty much suppressed from the beginning but it does get shot unsuppressed as well.

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

Just curious, when you say no more ejector, did the entire ejector come out of the bolt? Is it an AR-15 style held in by a little roll pin? If so, is the roll pin still there or part of it still there?

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

Yes - the small roll pin is still there but everything else on top of it is gone. There doesn't seem to be any wear marks or marring on the bolt housing/tube for the ejector. So I am fairly confuzz'd

Either way - frustrating, but if LMT sends out a new BCG in a timely fashion, all will be ok. (or a toss a new bolt in it and ship it back... ....)

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

If the roll pin is still there and not deformed, then something was out of spec with either the ejector or the ejector hole machined into the bolt. Or the roll pin hole was drilled too far to the outside to retain the ejector. Whatever the cause, LMT will get you back up and running.

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

I just had a look at my 12in CQB/MRP(New 60rnds through it) and the roll pin that holds the ejector pin in place is not fully seated. Looks like whoever was building it didn't care to take the time to drive it in right. Not sure if I should just tap it in the rest of the way or contact LMT . Doesn't seem to bother anything as the cam pin stops the bolt head before the pin would hit the carrier.???

Wow seriously bro? You do know that pin can be taken in or out for maintenance fairly easily.

Makes me wonder how many dumbass questions gun manufacturers get every day.

And boy is the topic pretty misleading. An extractor broke................................and????

So what, parts break. No matter the manufacturer. Having said that a broken extractor is fairly rare.

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

Not the extractor pin, the ejector roll pin is the one that is not driven in all the way. They are not quite as easy to remove as the extractor pin I think you are talking about. I am not complaining about LMT. I love the gun, just surprised me that this would be missed by quality control. Already fixed it myself.

Chris, can you put me in touch with someone there?

Re: New LMT 16" Piston Upper BROKE

I had a LMT CQB also and it ran like a champ. But like someone said, one gets by every now and again. Nice to know company's like LMT are ontop of the customer service issues.
