Recently making the move from strictly occasional pistol shooting into rifle shooting. Own one AR15 and getting ready to purchase a new Savage .308 to have some stress relief and fun shooting targets out to as long as maybe 800 yards, but often due to location limits more frequently 200-500 yards. I truly appreciate the information contained in this site and the time, effort, and patience of those responding with their experience and knowledge. Having this info saves me, hopefully, a lot of time, money, and mistakes; although no doubt I will still waste some time, some money, and make some mistakes. I'll probably take a course in the next 4-6 months, and maybe one day make it to a local/regional competition for more education, fun, and challenge.
