I would just like to thank you for allowing me in the forum. I am looking to get back into long range shooting and wanting to learn all I can and hope to compete in some competition style shooting events and one day be able to be one of the knowledgable guy in the group. In looking over the forum, it seems there is a lot of great info and really good people willing to share info, thank you all for that. I am 47 years old, been shooting rifles and pistols since I was about 5. Just never done any matches or competitions have shot up to 300 yds. But just purchased a RPR in 6.5 and looking to push those targets out . Thanks again for any help.

Where in CF? There are a few decent places to shoot in the general Central Florida area. On the East Coast we are shooting and holding some matches at VCGHC, in Volusia.

Well, our club normally only has to 300 meters (328 +/- yards) normal days. At our once a month long range practices and matches, we shoot to 1000yards normally. The practices are a good time to stretch your rifle and gather D.O.P.E. For future LR shooting. I’m usually there and or running practice to 1000.
