Hi all firstly would like to introduce my self.

My name is Adam Purcell, i am only young at 17 (16/06/1992) and live in the United Kingdom (Dorset), now a lot of you will read the age and think uh oh another call of duty wannabe, so allow me to explain why i am here.

Firstly to express my interest in long range marksmanship.

Secondly the whole long range marksman scene is my area of interest, I want to delve into it and learn everything there is to learn (thats possible of course) and make it my hobby, with me learning and discussing on here i hope to make that knowledge into a practical skill.

Third i wish to learn about ballistics, the calculations, the scope recitals and its relation to ballistics and all that comes into the territory.

As my signature states I am open to knowledge

So please dont think of me on here as a 17 year old call of duty player who likes to use sniper rifles.
I am just like you guys, who express the interest in long range marksmanship and learn as well.

On a final note i will be attending regularly the all famous Bisley ranges in surrey to kick off my long range shooting

Thank you.

Definitely some well-versed folks in the UK on this site you should link up with.

Welcome to the Hide and I suggest you delete your admittal to that "other" hobby before too many people see it.

Best of luck to you on your quest for knowledge. The info you seek is on this site but practical execution is still on yourself. This should help get you started though: http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=010955838166721108978:qcbx5qqy10o&hl=en

Re: New member signing in

Glad to help.

The link-up section would be good but it may be easier to just send people PMs if you happen to see a post of someone in your area in the threads.

You bring to the Hide the greatest virtue in precision shooting...honesty. To truly improve in this game, you have to be brutally honest with yourself. There are countless dudes here that have come only to try to prove how much they know. It won't take long for you to discern those select few who only speak from their actual vault of experience. Those are the ones that will cause you to stop, read and learn.

Welcome!!
