Good Evening-
A little over a year ago I purchased a used .308 FN-PBR that had a Mcmillan stock and muzzle brake added to it. I also got a great deal on a used PMII 4x16-42. I had previously never worked with a bolt gun or scope. I had a lot to learn. I served in the Marine Corps from '01 to '08, so I wasn't a new shooter, but it has been a frustrating yet rewarding year going through the initial learning pains as I started to get the hang of this side of the house.
I shoot regularly at Quantico with access to the 1000yd range. I shot in the Mason-Dixon PRS pro/am earlier this year. I was very happy with my performance. No gear issues and my data was solid going into the match - which was a huge confidence boost and validation that my years worth of prep work had all finally came together.
In general, I really appreciate having access to the knowledge on this board and have yet to meet an experienced shooter that wasn't welcoming and quick to provide help.
I'll stop rambling now, and look forward to expanding my skill set in year two.
