Good Morning,

Just found this site today and I have a couple of questions. I have a Seekins Havak PH1 on it's way to me in 6.5 PRC. Super excited. I would like to put a Modular Evolution Modular bipod on it and I am going to put a NF NXS 55 x 22 x 56 .250 MOA Scope on it. Anything special I need for Bipod adapter? Will the Rem 700 SA MOA Tac scope mount work? Will my NF 30mm ultralite Rings work?

What would you all recommend for a muzzle break? Is the one sold by Seekins good? ATC Muzzle Brake. Do I need a muzzle break?

Any other accessories or things I should consider?

You will find that almost everyone will recommend an RRS rail and mount for bipod/tripod etc (and rightfully so)... so start saving your penny's

as for muzzle brakes, Area 419 hellfire, APA fat/lil bastard, PVA brakes are all very good and popular. As for "needing" one id say it depends on your application.

Your rings will work with the scope

A little long range shooting but mostly hunting. Multi purpose. I want to be able to take it out long range target shooting with my friends but keep it light enough to hunt with it. I have a Bergara b14 HMr in 6.5 Creedmoor but it is really heavy so I am going to sell that.

Unless you're competing, I would hold off on a full length arca rail right off the bat.

For that application, I would also prefer a FFP scope but you may be able to get away with that SFP Nightforce.

I would keep the Berger’s 6.5 for shooting with your buds and keep the havok light and minimal for hunting. Also, for lots of shooting the hmr really isnt all that heavy...

The Bergara is gone. Introducing the Seekins Havak PH1 6.5 PRC. NF NXS 5.5 - 22 x 56. Harris bipod. The trigger is set at 2.5 lbs.

I love the way it feels and looks. Now to get rid of the white stuff and get above freezing so that I can shoot it.

I'm game - What is the benefit for taking up the last 2 -3 slots on the rail?

Please don't just say " Because it's better" I quit accepting that type of answer from my parents when I was 16. I want to learn why.

Stronger and less likely to be bumped off, or bent when dropped. Grab a broomstick horizontal at arms length, hands close together. Have your wife get a wide hold, and move it. Now grab it at shoulder width and have her move it. Which one was easier for her to move?.....

What if it lands upside down on the turret?Would it bend easier in the middle of the scope.
