Welcome to the Hide! Advice is free, good advice certainly subjective. My advice is to buy the best equipment and components you can afford but not to the extent that it hinders your trigger time. There are many good shooters out there that have managed to hold there own with less than top line equipment because they shoot often. More time shooting can cure a lot of problems if you use it to iron out bad habits or learn how to better use your equipment. If possible shoot with a friend that you can trust to give honest and knowledgeable advice on technique. In lieu of a shooting partner, use a video camera set up to record yourself for later review.

Im shooting as much as I can but the farthest I can go here in Tulsa is 300 yards. So far I can put 5 inside a quarter at 300. I am going to try and get down to Fouled Bore after the holidays for some longer range shots. In the spring there is a place called Badlands Tactical that has a pretty decent class that I was going to take because unfortunately I dont know anyone here that shoots long range.

I'm not familiar with the optic. The rest of your outfit sounds great so long as your budget lets you shoot enough .338 if not then you should look foe a 6.5CM.
