Has anyone heard how much to have the 2011 models refitted with one? I don't know if I missed a thread on it or what, but they just posted their SHOT video with it and I want to convert mine over.

Not to thread jack, BUT

Do you have a link to the video at SHOT or other details? My Google Fu is weak this morning.

On one of the GAP-10 pages (like 7 or 8), George posted up the 'new' rifle length handguards and rifle length gas system that was available in 'late' 2011. My GAP10 has the rifle length system but still has the 'standard' .875 block. Supposedly the new rifle length handguards and gas system was designed to allow for the adjustable gas block that was under development. I assume, the adj block you are describing is what was under development.

To my knowledge (read pure speculation) it was only for the rifle length systems but perhaps that's changed.

I haven't filed the paperwork for a suppressor yet so I haven't been harassing Ken @ GAP.

Definitely looking forward to this!!

They said on facebook that they can't be retrofitted...

Re: New Noveske Gas Block for the GAP-10

The New Gas System is not retrofitable to rifles already built. the Noveske Gas Block has to sit slightly in front of the top of the guard to enable it to be switched, (see video above) So becouse the standard gas blocks sit underneath (Midlength) and partially covered (rifle length) the Gas Tubes we special ordered are totally different and will not work with previously built rifles.

PRI now has a .875" adjustable gas block so for those guys adding a can and want to tune the ammo/ gas port pressure to the can the PRI model can be added by us or even the owner really easy, and works well.

This is a really cool development that makes it even harder for me not to order a GAP-10 this year...

What is the minimum length barrel that will work with the rifle length handguard/switchblock combo? Thanks.

Well, I guess all I need to do now is pick a caliber!

George,

Would you go PRI or wait for the Noveske?

Re: New Noveske Gas Block for the GAP-10

George, your timing couldn't be worse on the 260 GAP 10s. I took delivery of a 260 bolt recently because there wasn't much for 260 options in the gasser variety. Now I'll just have to get the matching pair.

In all seriousness, everything looks fantastic. I don't wanna get too far off topic but what are your thoughts on the Manners folders?
