I will be running Remington bench rest bolts in any size and with the bolt machined and ground any size. The bolts will be machined so the firing pin does not leave the channel . It will be like a bushed bolt with a .400 straight X .062 firing pin tip. This is an attempt to make a perfect Remington bolt that will compete with the big boy's. Remember if you do not have a action and you plan on building a target rifle it may be best to pick up the phone and get a Stiller action( cost wise ) but if you have a Remington receiver the new bench bolt will be the next thing to a great bench rest action. You must buy the matching firing pin assemblies as a standard Remington pin will not work without turning it down and back by .400 X.062 . The ultimate Remington set up would be to open up the race way to blue print the receiver , 705 and have us grind the bench rest bolt to .704 or your requested size. Well, let me know if you would like to try one and I will get it going. Thanks Dave @ 541-826-5808

Re: New One Piece Reminton Target Bolts

Dave-

What about doing the bolt body in a 0.700"/0.704" eccentric grind so the bolt runs nice and loose, but tightens up when in battery?
Like borden bumps, but the whole length of the bolt body from the rear of the lugs to the back of the rear bridge.
