he takes and converts your stock dbm into a 10 rnd mag. You can contact z71rat here on the hide for the cost and all the details of what he does to the mag to do the conversion! Tell him I sent ya!

The 10 round magazine modification incorporates a surplus G3 magazine with the factory Savage magazine body and follower assembly. Currently they are only for use in the short actions.
I can make the conversions for the 243/308 family of rifles, and now also have a working conversion for the WSM calibers. All are still based on the G3 magazine body conversion.
When my parts arrive, I will also be working on the .223 magazine conversions as well. This will be in the R&D stage for a bit, but I believe that it is a doable situation as well.

I like the paint on that one! What's the length and contour on that barrel? That's pretty close to what I want to do to mine. And z71rat, I'd be interested in one of those mags for a .223 when you get those going!

Nice paint. The colors really break up the outline of the stock.

The 10PCs have a contour that is unique to this model. It is in the middle between their heavy and sporter weights. I don't know what a corresponding contour number would be, except maybe a #6 light varmint.

Thanks, I have a Stevens, with the 20" sporter barrel, but I want a little bigger contour. Not so big that I'm adding unnecessary weight, but just a little bigger.

I would give Jim Briggs @ Northland Shooter Supply a call. He can be found on SavageShooters website. Great guy to deal with concerning any Savage or Stevens.
There are also several other manufacturers that make prefit barrels for our rifles. Check them out.
