Well... I wanted to get MORE practice in sooo I decided on this:

Remington 700 Tactical - 20" Caliber .223
Barrel Threaded 1/2X28
Bolt Knob Mod
S-Bipod

Scoped with a Bushnell 3200 10X mil
and a Bushnell TRS-25 mounted on a offset mount

Rifle will be in the factory hogue stock.... may stay like that for a while.... I am only pushing this to about 300 yards..

I just wanted a bolt plinker -play rifle... but did NOT want to get crazy on the money spent...

I have about $375 in ALL optics/red dot/mounts/rings/flipups and about $525 in the NEW rifle...

All in all... under $1K full set...

Once the rifle is back.... I will snap up some pics and give a report.

Thanks,
Matt (LEO SOUTH GA.)

Re: New Project!!!

I have thought about a new stock... but i figured the Hogue Rubber stock will hold up good for now... The Hogue really is not a bad stock...and does give a good grip... plus its about $200 that I DONT have to spend

Re: New Project!!!

Sounds like a fun little rifle. I have considered doing this quite a few times for the same reasons. The prices for quality 223 hand loading supplies are crazy cheap. Make sure to post up some pics.

Re: New Project!!!

I did almost the exact the same thing with an AAC-SD a few weeks ago. Got the bolt knob done, added a Harris bipod and pulled the Mark 4 off another rifle that I'm getting ready to get tuned up and then give to my brother-in-law.
