New rifle #3 and #4

This is a Trued Rem 700 barreled with a Krieger heavy palma 308 1-11.25" finished off at 26" with heavy crown. I cut down the bolt handle and installed a Badger Bolt knob. The AICS says it all. I duracoated the rifle HK Black and installed a Badger 20 MOA rail.

This last rifle is a great little walk around Varmint rifle. Its a Remington 700 that has been blueprinted. It sports a Shilen Select Match #4 chambered in .222 Rem finished off at 24" with a 1-9" twist. Its skim bedded with Marine Tex in a HS Precision stock and has a Shilen trigger insatalled. The barreled action has been Cerakoted Sniper Grey and the scope rings have been lapped and the rear base had to be bedded.

that 222 really tickles my fancy. Will have to put one on my to get list.

Yeah, I was thinking about making it a .223 Rem. But then I figured everybody has enough of those. I have always loved the .222 Rem and it was my first "high powered rifle" An older 722 in .222. It was an awesome varmint gun, so I figured I would give it a rest and build another. I'm still doing load development, but the Shilen barrel seems GTG!
