New rifle choice

I'm looking at getting a new rifle in 338 Lapua. Stuck with this caliber because I already have a Titan-QD can for it, the gun and brake/adapter never came in yet.......dealer screw up. Have always wanted a TRG-42 just because. It looks to be around $3K, any suggestions for putting the money into another brand. thanks in advance, cd

p.s. Does anybody know how well the desert tan model matches the tan color of the above mentioned can? Or just go with black? I don't know anything about Cerakote either except it's another $400-500.

Can't go wrong, with the TRG. Great resale, if it comes to that. Nice to know the "investment" is protected. They shoot GREAT! I have one, in 300 Win Mag, and love it! One note: Get the Sako Bipod. It's worth it, for the gun. Other bipods offer a lower center of gravity, and you'll regret it. Just my thoughts. I tried a CC&G bipod, to save money, and gave up, and got the Sako bipod. But, have you "read" the reviews, on the Savage? $1500? I almost went that way. It's in all the "Gun Mags".
