New Rifle Day - Underground Skunkworks

Just thought I would share - I've wanted an AI-style rifle for some time now and have gone back and forth between getting an AI or a custom on an AICS. Well, after talking to Mike at Underground Skunkworks, I was persuaded to get one of his Infidel builds (http://www.undergroundsw.com/page13.php). I picked it up this morning - the build quality and finish is great. Thanks to Mike for the great customer service and product.

I mounted a USO ST-10 on it until I figure out what I want to permanently scope it with. For the moment, though, the ST-10 will work just fine. I hope to get to the range tomorrow:

A dead car battery prevented me from getting to the range on Sunday. I'll try to get a range report up next week.

Hill billy - the barrel is Rock with a profile spec'd by UGSW.

Actually, that barrel is a Bartlein Tight Bore, 5R, 11.25 Twist in the RECON Contour....

The one in the photos is 22" as measured from the recoil lug and not the bolt face, so technically it's a little longer if you use the ATF method of determining barrel length....

I'm doing a number of PERSEUS builds (18 and 22 inch barrels) for a few LE users, SPECTER-BABR Packages for the Military, a lot of KUKRI's and INFIDEL's, and some upcoming builds for the JAEGER and CRUX, so I plan to have a lot more photos on the site soon. The info will be posted here on the packages listed above and my new DBM, Drag Bag, NV Mount, Rimfire Trainer, etc., etc. I also have some new Short Barreled Shotgun packages that will be posted in the Equipment section.
