Swapped my Rem VTR 308 with Zeiss Conquest 6.5X20X50 on it for a new Remington 700 5R in 300 Win Mag.

Now I need some new glass to go on it. Valdada IOR 3-18x42 FFP, or wait for the Vortex PST FFP scopes to come out. Or Leopold Mark 4 ER/T. Decisions, Decisions....

I like the FFP scopes, for some reason.

Jeesh, and I though that BRD (black rifle disease) was expensive.

I agree with Graham.

But then, I have a reason. If you won't use FFP don't spend the money on it. Instead buy a better SFP scope. And, that said, if you want to save even more money, give-up side focus and variable power and get a decent fixed power scope. Look first at reliable tracking, then durability, then premium glass; when you have all three of those, and a reticle you like that works for your purpose, only then look to the nice-to-have features that the marketing gurus say you need in a scope.
