New Rifle...RRA LAR-8 Varmint 20" or DPMS SASS?

Have a few AR-15 and now moving up to the AR-10. Looking at the RRA LAR-8 Varmint with 20" and the DPMS SASS. Trying to keep the price around $3000 with optics. Any comments on either of these?

All I know is the SASS is HEAVY. I decided to make my own based on weight savings, and personalization purposes

I think the RRA is a nice gun- I like the 7075-T6 upper and lower compared to 6065 with DPMS, but DPMS might get you a rifle sooner.

My RRA was on order for 4 months.

I know RRA can take a while. I ordered an upper a while back and it took about 2 months. So really not an issue to me. I'm just trying to figure out which is the better buy. I love all the extras on the DPMS, but I can put on most of that with the RRA gun for about the same price.
