Looks like there are more good things coming our way. A 30 cal 230gr bullet with a BC of .800!?! Awesome.

The 6mm/110 looks interesting. My .243 1-8" shoots Berger 108's extremely well, might be fun to compare them. Pretty good B.C., if it's accurate.

    Waiting for spring...

Anyone have any idea what twist rate will be required for the 30 cal 230 grain bullets thinking maybe 8 ?

I would guess 1-8.5 or a 1-9 twist would do the trick - especially with the big 30 cal magnums (300NM, 300RUM, 30 Nosler, etc). Even shooting the 200gr bullet with a BC over .7 is crazy. My 300NM would send those down range at 3200fps easy.

Id be pretty shocked if it required an 8. I’ll bet it’s very similar in length to the berger. Until someone chimes in with its length or test fire data, it’s all a guess now.

I'll be getting a few boxes of the 200 grain .30 cal once I deplete my stock of 210...

I've run the 230 Bergers just fine in 10 twist 300WM's and 300RUM's, I know apples to oranges since the Sierra could easily be longer and require more RPM but it should give an idea. I certainly don't see it needing faster than a 9 however.

Now if they would only catch up in the hunting bullet game...
230 gr of any bullet will do the trick. I've killed a multiple deer with the 168 gr SMK from my .308. A 230 gr SMK will smoke game.

The problem with their current hunting offerings is that the BCs suck. That's what I am getting at.
