I own only 5 auto HGs. One SW 52, a keltech 22 mag (30 rounds, why not?) and 3 Sigs. 2 west Germans (220 and 226) and a mosquito(much malaligned but a blast for me and a great trainer for newbies.) I picked up my 4th Sig today. A 553p in 223. My state is a no-go for SBR but I am hopeful to get a AOW to add some custom stuff. The fit and function is great, the construction/ mechanics are slick. I can't wait to get some stuff done and put it through it's paces.

Please explain the 'issues' with the mosquito, I haven't heard anything bad about them here and was thinking of getting one.
Are they good or junk, does it feed & shoot ok? I like the two tone model, I have two 226s in 9mm & .357Sig and just wanted a mosquito for plinking.
Anyone care to comment? Thanks, jl

Some haters out there, ftf/ fte with some ammo types. I have never had an issue. I use winchester x and cci mini mag. I have not tried any other stuff as that is what I have. I have a good line on a 226/22 conversion kit. I could sell the mosquito and still come out ahead but I love the little guy. The conversion would never get used

Nice collection. The 553p is really nice.

As for the Mosquito, the first ones out had severe problems with FTEs/FTFs. My first one was replaced on the day after I first took it to the range. I was even using Mini-mags like Sig recommends. Many people had issues with this, and it is what gave the Mosquito the bad rep. Also, the Mosquito's slide is a zinc alloy, and there are reports the front of the slide will break off after heavy use.
