I think I have it narrowed down to the Stockys m50 carbon fiber, vg2 carbon fiber, or the ag composite alpine hunter. Plan on installing 2 flush cups on left and an atlas rail. Some form of m5 bottom metal as well (leaning towards atlaswork or American precision arms RTG). Bedding it when it is all together. Rifle is a rem sps tac 16.5 inch 308 with a silencerco harvester. I have plenty of dedicated hunting styled rifles with standard stocks so not leaning that way. Long range is my DTA so that is covered. I want this to be a do all mid range rifle. It sits in a mdt LSS now but I guess I am just ready for something new and maybe lighter. I have a 22 with the tacticool boyds stock on it and so far I don't mind it. Both of the vertical grip stocks remind me of it. Any other stocks I should look at?

What do you guys think? Was leaning towards a manners eh1 but don't want to wait that long for one and these are supposed to actually be lighter by a few oz.

thanks,
matt

That's the first I've seen the M50 it looks like a solid stock, if you prefer the more vertical type grips have you checked out the Stockys STS carbon fibre ?
Light weight and adjustable cheek piece using KMW Loggerhead hardware.

Yea I looked at the STS but it is about a pound heavier than I would want. I have given up on an adjustable cheek piece for weight savings. If I have to, I will run a stock pack. If I would go this heavy, I would try to find another KRG Xray gen 1 with the original mag release. Then I wouldn't have to bed it or add a bottom metal.

I like the m50 but that one looks like it would have to run a stock pack on. This rifle has a 50 mm vortex on it. It may be the more versatile stock for different shooting positions though. well at least I think it may be. I don't do too bad with the vertical grip on my 22 from all different positions shooting squirrels with it though.
